Escape weekend
Hello Fullerton
The corridor was so damn long it took us quite some time to find our room
Esplanade room on the top floor
Wooh
Haha stupid shoe
Stupid Mr. Dimple
Our room
What's that!
A walk-in I want at home ):
Weird thingy
Awesome view
Awesome possum
Yuck
Entertaining myself while Mr Dimple was showering
The pool's so idyllic seriously. Like you're all looking unglam right smack in the middle of town watching people stroll by in their own worlds
Splashy splash
Cutesy (:
Bob bob
The pool was like filled with cute ang moh/jap kids. Made me feel all maternal for a moment.
Dress from JLo's diffuse line, shoes from Peddar Red
I cropped away the rest of the picture because somehow, I managed to look like I broke my neck.
Leaving for the Singapore Flyer
Touristy photos
Mr Dimple's one year present
Mr Dimple
And here we are!
Our own capsule!
The package was like damn cool seriously. Like you get all VIP treatment, skip all the queues, get champagne glasses and cocktails and most importantly, your very own capsule! Can you imagine trying to cam whore along with so many people? You can't even get decent shots and when you want to take photos of a certain place, you have to 'Excuse me excuse me' here and there cos there's people all around. Defeats the very purpose of going there.
This is my favourite picture! See if you don't have our own capsule you can't do that. :/
It was so hard taking photos still though cos I have to keep changing the exposure and aperture settings ):
Atop the world
And so we head back to Fullerton for the Chocolate Buffet!
Mr Dimple not really looking forward to it cos he is hungry and also one of the very few people I know who doesn't live on chocolate.
ME!
Pretty marshmallows
The first time I see strawberries offered along on buffet with the chocolate fountain. But it is a chocolate buffet after all, haha.
Oh!! I love this thingy it reminds me of Cooking Mama so much. You pick whatever chocolate you like and the chef makes it into hot chocolate for you! I chose those with lesser cocoa percentage cos I like sweet stuff but it turned out very milky. Boo
I love their bread pudding!! It's cranberries and chocolate bread pudding and that's not what you see everywhere. Yummy yummy I had 2 servings of it. Their creme brulee was awesome too. Chocolate cakes are otherwise the average chocolately kind (not the cheap doesn't taste of chocolate but colored chocolate kind). Some flavours are really exotic though. Unless you're a chocolate connossieur.
Black cherries mousse. I got a shock when I ate it, the taste was way intense.
Back at the hotel room we ordered room service. Contary to what we thought, their chinese food's awesome!
Ok no photos of the buffet brekkie though. I was too lazy/tired/hungry. But it was one of the largest spread I've ever seen in all hotels. Mr Dimple and I decided to eat al fresco by the Singapore River and when we set our filled plates down and went to get other stuff, the staff covered it with some professional looking plastic cover. Initially we thought we were so cared for until the angmohs next table left theirs and birds of all kinds like big black crows and the normal looking brown ones hopped on the table and pecked around. I was astonished, especially when staff walked past up and down the table under attack but took no notice. We shifted inside though cos the crows were honestly HUGE and kept flying around us. -Shivers.
All in all, it was a fabulous weekend and anniversary. It meant a lot to me as it was my first time getting to celebrate it... Thank you babypie! For Fullerton, the Singapore Flyer and Chocolate Buffet. For not getting mad at me when I fell asleep and you wanted to go for supper. For giving me the chance at all to be able to celebrate this date. Thank you. I love you.
