Can't wait for Friday to come!
Am heading to Hong Kong with F together with our families for CNY. Won't be our first year not celebrating it in Singapore. This time last year, we were in Korea and boy, was it cold. But still awesome. This year we are going to the shopping capital of asia!!!! Yeah I know there are other shopping countries, but HK in my opinion will have the best CNY atmosphere. Yum yum. And hopefully lots of Xiao Long Baos.
Ok if you're still reading by this point you should know that it's just gonna be another post depicting how incredibly random my mind works.
So I did a little research on shopping in HK a while back but didn't really put much thought into it. Yesterday though... I realised the trip was only a week away so i've to, y'know, get back to shopping mode!
And guess what I found.
Would love to bring that home...
Stop. Ok I know I obviously won't be able to buy a Juicy bus back home, but I just discovered there's TWO Juicy shops in HK! Is that like totally destiny/fate/karma or what!!!
Aweome possum. And in HK, there's a two-storey Christian Louboutin boutique.
I blanked out for about, 5 seconds when I read that. When I continued reading that they hold 40% off sa-
BOINK.
Seriously. I've been waiting for Juicy and Louboutin to open in Singapore for like what, YEARS? Annoying really, like I keep thinking I get to buy them in Singapore (as in, in their very own boutiques) and I keep getting disappointed. Shame on you Ngee Ann City!
And... in HK there's Harvey Nichols which stocks about every brand in the universe of coolness. I can finally get me some Acne jeans!!! Yay me!!!!!
And a Deer Dana tee (the Agy one!)
Woohoo!!!!!
Honestly, I have like, a million tabs on shopping right now it's insane. I don't even know how to arrange my shopping itinerary yet. With only around 24 hours in HK before we leave for Macau... I don't see how I'm gonna get it all covered. ):
Is it me, or does everyone get this? When I start shopping, nothing deters me. Really. I don't feel hungry, I don't feel thirsty. I mean of course in Singapore shopping isn't such a frenzy but when I go overseas my mind just clocks into timer mode and I walk faster, I thumb through racks faster, I even convert currencies faster. I move so fast it's like I'm running away from The Ice Age. At this kind of moments I just don't notice anything but my shopping.
To digress, I think I put on weight.
It's kind of weird when I have people (whom I haven't seen for ages) tell me I lost weight blah blah blah when I HAVE NOT. It's either a really smart people tool or you're blind. Ha ha. I mean, no girl on Earth will ever dislike hearing the golden words:
"Hey did you lose weight?"
But when you're feeling fat and clumsy it doesn't help at all. I haven't been on ANY diet, unless you count the MacDelivery diet, the maggi-mee 2 eggs at 3am supper diet, or the everyday don't exercise diet.
But now it's all going to change. I am going to go on a diet. Why? Because I am the most superficial and self-conscious person ever. I think the best time of our lives (girls) is now, when we can still lose weight easier then later on (think 10 years) and when it's still ok for us to exercise vigorously.
I want to look like this
I mean... I'm the same height as MK but she's so small and cute and everything. Speaking of which, the Sam Edelman boots which I saw from Rumi's is really kind of fabulous. But the one on ebay is 2 sizes bigger than what I usually wear... Should I just buy and stuff tissues in? But it's not cheap or anything like that so I don't want to limp in it or have it slip off when I walk. Bah... life's unfair.
I'm still thinking of which diet to go on.
