At some famous Chendol place. Did you know Gula Melaku (the black sugar thing atop your Ice Kacangs) is from Malacca? I didn't!

I didn't sleep the night before ok. So stop looking at my bad skin/hair/spastic smile.

Why is the ancient looking vase hanging in such a precarious manner? Cause I knocked into it.

Awesome Chendol lor. If I wasn't having Bronchitis I'd have 3 bowls at least. Cause they come in teeny eeny bowls. The Gula Melaku we always have in Singapore is like diluted but theirs is sticky. Not too sticky but just enough. And its aroma is soo rich. Momo and all the other old people bought like 3 bottles of it back home.

Shopping at some street that looks like a tourist trap. I bought shirts and wood bangles here. For like, I don't know, 3 for 5 dollars? And all those online blogshops are selling the same ones for 10 bucks apiece. Crazy.

Oh and they have LOTS of antique shops. Think gramophones, typewriters, vintage fans (you know those gold metallic ones) and lots more. It's freaking amazing.

Momo wanted to buy a giant gramophone i swear the length of it is like from my head to my hip. But it was like 2k SGD. Ha ha. The finds were amazing la but it's so obvious these shops were tourist scammers ):

Er, it's half of a ship. I don't really know why Malacca has a ship right smack in the middle of the city district.

The other half of the ship. What! I was inside a frigging station wagon la I can't zoom out that far.

Holiday Inn!! Momo was like telling me that it was a good hotel (5 stars) in Malacca but in BKK or other places it's 3 stars. (Cause when she told me we were staying at Holiday Inn I baulked because the one in BKK is kind of bad.) We used to go to Batam every weekend and we stayed at Holiday Inn all the time and it was AWESOME so I didn't understand why the one in BKK is so... haha. I mean, 4 seasons are the same everywhere right? These international hotels should standardise their er, standards.

Dora Chew (Nat) is damn crazy I tell you. She just climbed up on a bar stool, pretended to peruse the menu and then... pointed to a Heineken or Carlsberg (I can't remember) keg.

Nicole is super ultra flirtatious. At least, for her age. She would only hold Qt's hand when we brought her down to the swimming pool (btw, Holiday Inn has one of the coolest pools)

And when Qt was waiting to get towels for her, she sulked impatiently. It was hilarious.

Looky at the pool! It has the ledge-dropping-off-to-nothingness look. I'm totally a sucker for pools like that.

Nic got so excited in the pool that she went bounce bounce bounce bolop and under the water. When we got her she refused to be held by anyone and rushed to Qt with her arms outstretched, crying. Obsessive lor. HAHA.

I think this was one of the photos after she bounced. Or maybe she sneezed.

Hotel's buffet breakfast

I was bouncing on my feet to brekkie till I realised that we were in Malacca and therefore, there was no pork bacon. Was sad. Ate honeystars and kokocrunch and cocopops instead.

We ate at this place Ernie recommended. Their Kong Ba Pao was like according to them, FREAKING GOOD. I had a look; it was so fatty and everything but it is, i quote, 'the juciest kong ba EVER' and 'IT EFFING MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH'. I ate the skinny meat part though. I think it's a good thing I can't appreciate fatty meat. Can you imagine the size of me? At least 3 times the size I am now. Bah.

And when mommy Lynn heard that Qt have never eaten KBP before (I know, right?), she leapt into action.
