Taken when I was bored one day. I had on red lipstick for my sexy vampire role in an acting assessment but my sexy vampire turned out a little whorish. I think I look better in red lipstick then a year ago. I don't know why, maybe I got so turned off the last time I wore it. Always thought my coloring made the whole getup middle aged.

If you haven't tried this you must. I swear, it really tastes like cupcakes. I finished a box by myself over a week and am currently craving for it.

After 3 years of crazy deadline and all nighters, it seemed a little anti-climatic to end with a media law paper. The rush of freedom was heady, though. Funny thing was, the first thing that came to my mind was "What a goddamn waste of three years."

P.s. Kel, I'm editing my bday pictures but I'll upload them tmr or something cos I just took cough syrup and my eyes are closing already. Sorry!!!

Yesterday was spent shopping with Lexipop and Lunxer in town. So much fun and I got plenty of good buys. Kinda overspent but that didn't stop me from getting my first cap - 'I just want my kitty on an unicorn what do you mean nobody ever plucks out the New Era sticker who, can you tell me, would want a sticker on their cap' - that I'm sure is gonna up my street cred. LOL. Actually I think I'm gonna get a whole lot lazier since I can just go to school with bad hair underneath that cap.

I also got a beautiful and utterly amazing hat that makes me look Japanese and Yoko Ono-ish at the same time. Lexipop borrowed it for the weekend so I'm only gonna get it back on Monday.

Reebonz was having this hat sale and I spotted that awesome Gucci straw hat. I love how the cream and maroon bow look together, and it must be fate cos right after I confirmed my payment it sold out. There were supposed to be 2 more left in stock. Yayme!

Shopping yesterday included 2 new pair of shoes - one of which I'm convinced makes me look like a little kid but the Red Riding Hood-esque shade of forest red got me - 4 pairs of French underwear, a garter belt, a baby doll chemise with cherries all over it, a mega huge bottle of Lola by Marc Jacobs with the gigantic petals, a cat sweater I'm pretty sure Amanda the Bitch is gonna swoon over, and a knitted beanie with an exaggerated (i.e. mfing huge) pompom that swings when I walk.

If Singapore had seasons now would be the spring/winter transition. Scorching sun in the noon and showers not a minute later. I pick out summer shorts and suddenly, the chill and billowing winds call for woolly sweaters. It is all so excruciatingly confusing. Please excuse my wonky eyes, I think I blinked as the shutter went off. I finally got the chance to wear my american flag shorts which incidentally was sold out long ago in the US but easily available when I got them here. To compromise I added a really thick waffle knit without long sleeves. Even the sweater is confused. Should I be warm or not... ah feck it, I'll just be thick and get short sleeves. Worn with my favourite boots.

My sister have left for Paris. Sent her off at the airport last night, and when she called just now - stranded with no transport to her hostel - I think my heart just broke. It is so frustrating not being able to be there to pull her in the right direction of... well, everything.

My first ever 100% real Xmas tree! The pine smelt so good but boy, it shed like crazy. Winding fairy lights around and around and threading baubles on it was so fun.

Xmas' eve at M Hotel! We had labeled glasses courtesy of K but everyone just drank from whichever's nearest.

I love it when packages arrive. GHD + three packages from Amazon.

I think foam peanuts are cute. And that's my Herstyler curling wand, I was too excited and forgot to snap a pic of it. But it's really good. Gives you amazing curls in... I have thick hair and I take probably 7 mins for a full head.

GHD straightener!!! And not just any GHD but the Breast Cancer 2009 limited ed one!! Ok la I only bought this cos the whole thing is baby pink. The BC 2010 one is white with hot pink details so noooo.

GHD straighteners are renowned and the raves don't lie it's fucking fantastic!!! It's not cheap but it's a great investment. My hair is quite damaged so normal straighteners will get 'stuck' while sliding down but this doesn't. It just zooms down hehe.

Eyeshadow palette from can'trememberwhatbrand but it's good and cheap.

My shoes!!! I bought keds for mych.

I kind of collect jeffrey campbell shoe boxes now. The designs change frequently and it's all so cute and appealing to a person who's susceptible to marketing (i.e. me).

Not a great picture but I was jumping around in joy so. I actually didn't like this a lot initially because in stock pictures it all looked like it's probably 3 inches. Then i read the details and it stated that the heel is 5 inches minimum so I bought it heh.

The XLBs they are now getting a lot of hype for. Admittedly not bad since they didn't stinge on the expensive ingredients like foie gras (black), ginseng (green) but they were all a tad greasy. I prefer the original flavoured ones.

Bringing two very, very impressionable girls to Prada and Chanel was extremely fun. It's hilarious because they were totally undaunted by the snooty sales assistants (unlike us) and just acted like... kids.

Outside Topshop. I think my face registered me hanging on to the pillar for dear life because Natalie insisted on perching on my thigh while I was squatting.

LOL. Warning. Do not forget your bacon sitting in your chiller when leaving home for a week or you'll come back to Furry Bacon.

Dinner at some Smashed Ayam Penyet place in Jurong Point. I think this was called Happy Drink or something like that. I wasn't very happy leh... the F&N Cherry syrup + carnation milk concoction was too diluted.

So one day I got a random adtext from this shop called Pastry Pursuits and since I was bored and about to fall asleep, I clicked on the link and guess what I found:

Egg Poachers!!! Anyone who loves a good sunny side up (or any way the egg is done just as long as the white is cooked and the yolk is sizzling but still raw) as much as me will love this. I mean, how can I not know about this till now? They don't have it in pink, unfortunately :(

Pretty fondue sets!!! Though I'm not a big fan of cooking and cleaning up (just eating) I'm just gonna put these up cos they look so damn adorable.

Then I found this weird triangular thing which made no sense to me till I saw the word 'Cheese'.
It's like saying 'squirrel!' to a dog I guess. 'Cheese' leaps out at me. *defensive*

Apparently its a Raclette saucepan. I didn't know what Raclette was but after a quick Google it's apparently grabbing a wheel of cheese, somehow melting it, scrapping the gooey cheese off and eating it. (Sides optional of course, but that's just me.)

I'm making myself ravenous right now -.- I wished I was some domestic goddess so I can get all the little pots and stuff but I'm not so... EGG POACHER!!!!

The land of grouches and great shopping

So on last Thursday F and I skipped sleep altogether and reached the airport at 4 am for our flight. Starving and sleepy, we had my second favourite brekkie in the world - half-boiled eggs and kaya toast. Yumsy!

So bright and early... I had to strain my eyes to look outside the window.

Vivi for the journey. Couldn't get Vivi Japan so ended up getting the Taiwan one. Still couldn't read the content wtf. But the cover girls are hot! My favourite one is the one on the right. Look at those collarbones ~

Note to self: Bright sunlight and no sleep = extremely unflattering

We arrive at Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui after a long jam. Cab fare was close to 300 HKD = 60 SGD. HK's standard of living seems to have risen. Even some lousy cha chan teng's noodles also 5 SGD. The awesome bah chor mee at the coffeeshop near F's place is only 2.50 lor.

Room wasn't that fantastic. Just reassuringly comfortable. With all the basic stuff. So it kinda felt like a ripoff at 300+ SGD per night. I wanted to stay at the Mira with all the cool tech stuff and egg chair but F said nooooo. :(

The only part I really adored in the entire room was the tap. Hehehe.

We only had 3 days, so it was kinda a rushed trip so after washing up we headed to the shopping mall K11 below our hotel (like, literally in the basement) and randomly picked a restaurant to grab a bite before shopping.

F's beef stew and noodles. We were expecting the noodles to be dry and the beef to be mixed with the noodles but... haha.

Looks very nondescript but the beef was really tender and bursting with flavour, the noodles QQ, the soup tasted of real stock and nothing of MSG at all.

LOL sliced cucumber from my noodles. I HATE CUCUMBER.

Frigging awesome xiao long baos (XLBs). See, you go to some random place in HK and their XLBs are way better than the best ones in Singapore.

These seriously had loads of soup in them. Plus, the meat inside was extremely tasty, and the skin was paper thin but still managed to hold all the soup in it. In Singapore, we get thick skin and drops of soup AND the skin still breaks.

Ok the reason why we have contorted faces is because... we were sucking the soup out of the hole at the top of the XLB. That's how much soup it held. Suck some of the soup out, then stuff the whole thing in your mouth. Best mouthgasm EVER.

Ok this one looks flat cos I sucked 80% of the soup already.

We were on our way on the subway (My first time taking the subway in other countries!!! Mainly because the cab uncles are SO mean and terrible and their subway is really fucking efficient) to Causeway Bay and we had to change trains until we saw the mob waiting to change trains. There were QUEUES. ON THE PLATFORM ITSELF. It was so nerve-wrecking we got off at Admiralty (F keeps doing the Woodlands' next! joke) and wandered around till we found a food court.

Hou Sek! Even some lousy food court also serve delicious fare. :/ The soup is actually milky okay.

My favourite!!! Gong Cha - So much better than Koi man. I had their classic one with fresh cream or something on top of the bubble tea. Cream that's SALTY, k. Very very nice. And a super huge cup (about same as Koi's size) is 2 SGD. TWO DOLLARS HOR!!!! Koi costs about the same as Starbucks lor.

I think I drank it 2 or 3 times while we were in HK. In fact, every time we saw one outlet, I got a cup. Hehe.

After lots of crazy shopping we went to an alfresco bar that had its restaurant indoors. We actually went there for oysters... Little did I know F had his hidden agenda.

WTF its rim was as big as the widest part of my face -.-

After that it rained heavily and I cursed F repeatedly (I wanted to cab back to the hotel since we were really laden with lots of shopping carriers) because now we didn't have a hope of getting a cab without getting our things and ourselves wet. Also, he picked the only bar without an umbrella escort service. -.-

I'm extremely happy with my shopping done there!!!!!!!!! Don't know if I'll do a haul from hong kong post cos I bought... a significant amount. And also, Momo will get on my back for 'showing off'. So... we'll see how it goes.

Here's a polaroid of us months back (God I'm really slow in updating photos) with F in his full I-just-got-into-NS-behold finery and geeky specs he always had a fetish for. Sorry baby. This is to save my blog from looking so bare and naked. Think of the greater good.

Anyways, so this morning I got a text from F asking me on a Spontaneous Jet Date. And so in the evening we checked out flight schedules and booked our tickets to Hong Kong for this Thursday. It's so... fast and instantaneous. I love it. Hate waiting.

We're leaving this Thursday morning, technically the night of Wednesday and will be back on Saturday, just in time for K's farewell gathering. She's going to China to apparently visit ports (C said this) and I'm gonna miss her so much. Sigh.

Don't know if I should bring my Olympus Pen to HK or the beloved, trusty Canon. On one hand, I can take awesome pictures with my baby Canon but I don't want to lug it around when I visit historical monuments that houses Prada and such. It also wouldn't fit in my Chanel backpack, which I'm planning on carrying when I go ~~shopping~~ sight-seeing as it doesn't get in my way. I'm still not familiar with the Pen and most pictures turn out a little blurry. But it is smaller, so. Hmm.

I ramble on about irrelevant things when I'm excited, nervous or happy. I also go way over the boundaries of TMI. Can you tell?

It's not Japan, but I'm kinda giving up on that already. The Home of The Kitty remains elusive as long as the Yen continues strong. Sigh. But I do love Hong Kong and its awesome labels. H&M, you're gonna be within my grasp again, mahahaha.

Over the weekend we went grocery shopping. I'm currently in love with our new shower rack. It's so... handy. I had an awesome facial, it was almost not excruciating and I permed my eyelashes. It's fun looking like I have super natural falsies on when I'm actually too lazy to wear any.

After the failure of the risotto last week (It's so sad because it was INSTANT. How do you screw instant food up??) I'm adamant to make things right. Risotto, part II, from scratch. Hahaha ok I'm just gonna do my own version. In fact, the rice pasta I got from Jones The Grocer doesn't even look like rice so... I'm just gonna use garlic spaghetti sauce and toss some bacon, sliced sausages and button mushrooms in. Risotto, a la Mavis' crazy cooking. Hmm.

Yesterday I wore thigh-shapers in an attempt to tame my elephant thighs and F said "... What is THAT?"

I finally got something I wanted for ages and it's on its way to me right now (hopefully). ^^

I'm lying in my bed right now, feeling so gunky but accomplished. Cos Little Miss Slobby of the Year has finally packed her room!! For weeks F and I have just been dumping whatever shopping/clothes/bags we had on the floor. It's kinda like a disease, like how once you have 20% of the floor covered with things, suddenly it's imperative that you cover the rest of it with more irrelevant stuff.

I cleared everything!!! Vacuumed and everything. Ok, so our bookshelves right now are teetering precariously but I did everything with a raging headache and cough... So I'm feeling fucking pleased with myself right now.

So I decided to reward myself, hahaha. Ok fine, so it was kinda an impulse buy but admit it, I deserved it.

Time to shower and grab a couple of panadols.

It might sound irrationally and pathetically sad that I was depressed after trying on my new thigh high socks from NastyGal. Not one, but three pairs of socks that managed to turn my legs that I never had problems with into cellulitey blobby gross things.

I am still in rabid anticipation that my Free People boots will make me look stumpy. I'm crossing my fingers and toes and praying for dear life they don't cause I've never paid so much for a pair of flat shoes before.

So last weekend we went on cruise to Redang. It was fun and really giggly cos I had my girls with me!!

If you don't know what this is it probably means you don't know Sammi Cheng. But it's okay.

Lol lots of couples were taking photos with that cheesy heart. Farley looked at me and we went "No..."

I love how when one of us goes all pseudo candid, the other will just play along.

Hotel Michael + Voyage De La Vie

Introducing my new Olympus Pen! My first Olympus.

So the weekend before last we headed to Hotel Michael for a super mini staycation

I prefer Hard Rock I think. Michael is just too... orange. Plus, Hard Rock had an iPod dock and a bigger balcony. Not to mention a elevator from the carpark to the hotel lobby. The one at Michael was NOT COMPLETED yet. Whao. We went in the direction of the arrow that says Hotel Lobby Lift and got scolded by a guard. WTF.

I love blue bathrooms! While my dream house would be fully done in baby pink, my bathroom HAS to be blue. There's just something about aqua tiles.

It was really cold though. Okfine we set it that way cos we like to freeze and pretend we're in somewhere you can wear fluffy boots. Farley looks like a dumpling here.

Right outside our balcony was the something-line. You know the one that comes from Harbourfront.

The balcony was teeny and really dusty. Some parts of Hotel Michael were still under construction.

Voyage De La Vie was quite awesome. I forgot my flash so the night pictures sucked. I love the blond contortionist and the girl twirling on a rope in the air. Ate at Chili's after that. I'm a total ribs virgin since I'm simply too lazy to attempt eating such an obviously awkward dish but this time Farley just plucked off all the meat for me. YUMMSY I WANNA HAVE RIBS AGAIN!!!!

I have lots of photos to post up but I've got neither the time nor the energy to even upload them.

I was just texting K earlier on when I had an epiphany. Again.

What I was doing was telling him my user id and pw for some game. Incidentally, I have invested (pui) quite a sum of money in this game and if K wasn't my cousin, he could have just logged into my account, and transferred whatever I had to his. That's not to say that K wouldn't do that, but... HAHAHHA. Maybe K would. Just kidding.

It occurred to me that I always hand myself on a platter to people. In a split second, I can trust someone, I can lend someone money or whatever they need. Not even considering for one second that they're slutty whores who can't keep their mouths closed (HA HA) or that I will never see these people again. I'm so impulsive I don't stop to think. I just imagine things would sort themselves out, these people are good, really, despite what everyone says about them.

It's like here's my money, here's my trust, love and confidance! Take them! Who needs them! You can have them for free!

I laughed throughout Eclipse last night. Maybe it was the endless scouring for a place to have dinner without queuing or shoving. But come 9pm, when I walked into the cinema hoping for a quiet respite, I was greeted with tons of Twi-I have never read the books but I must watch then can haolian -llighters who had no idea what the storyline was supposed to be. But the entire movie was so jumpy and abrupt and overcheesed that I kept giggling to myself when everyone was in solemn silence because Edward is glittering, y'know? R.E.S.P.E.C.T!

And watching Bella yell at Edward when she wasn't supposed to was so reminiscent of Dumbledore shoving Harry that I felt so indignant for a moment. Then I went back to giggling. If I were to choose, Eclipse would be the worst Twilight movie ever. And it was a close fight.

Just realised that I haven't posted any pictures of myself in a long while. Prolly because I'm slowly but definitely mutating into something really grotty and bleaurgh. I don't know what is wrong with me. I'm always having gastric flu/stomach ulcer nowadays. My skin is permanently grey, my nails are bitten down and my eyebrows are terrible.

I need a haircut. My hair is pretty much shapeless now and I can't even bear to think of the split ends.

Oooh but I bought the most awesomest paddle hair brush the other day!! I totally didn't expect it to be but it was life-changing. Life-changing, I tell you my friend. No more painful tug-of-wars with tangles and fuzzy morning hair. Everytime I brush my hair I have a Head Orgasm.

Other Head Orgasms include temple massages and fever packs.

I want a deep-tissue massage so badly. I need a vacation, which is kind of ironic since our 'break' (which is so obviously non-existent it will be in bunnyears) has just ended. I need some sun, some cheapass shopping, some massages by strong Thai/Indo/Viet women, basically, just some fucking good R and R.

Did I just go off the rails again? Anyway. I have just noticed that in every recent photo of me I look like FrankeBunny. And so, no photos till I look remotely human.

What the hell is wrong with me? I can't even blog coherently now, and you can add that to the my list of Can't-Dos. We should be at page 192 by now. Somewhere along that list is Can't Fucking Tolerate Imbeciles Who Shall Remain Nameless, and Can't Bomb The Fucking Tekong Camp + All Army Sites.

It is almost at the end of another year. Strange, huh, how time passes and it's like no one notices it. I am almost 19, and yet I still feel the same way I did when I was 16.

Mmm. Like how when I was 16, I always do what I want, not what I need. Don't get me wrong, I'm not proud of it but everyone's gotta be honest with at the very least themselves, right?

Like now. I have stupidly forgot to get Christmas presents for Farley and I last week when I was in town to get other presents for our Christmas exchange. I don't know what planet I was on, but geez, I could have gotten all my shopping done in one fell swoop amidst the smelly bodies I was squashed between. But nooo I just had to be an idiot and forget. (If you're thinking how the hell Farley is gonna get me my present when he's in the army now, well, I'm gonna get it on his card, all wrapped up, and make him give it to me on Christmas' Eve! Genius, isn't it?)

Anyway point is, I'm really reluctant to leave my comfy bed, not to mention Season 1 of True Blood. That show is so irritating. I was so pissed off by the southern accents because it was so thick it made my hair stand on end and argh, I couldn't understand a lot of the names and mind things the protaganist was saying. Turns out it was inspired by the Southern Gothic Vampire Thingamajig book. Oh-kay. Totally excuses the rednecks and corny lines...

But the main vampire is so hot I just have to keep watching. Poo.

Oh and did I mention the xRx21x parts? Hehe. Hot girls, hot vampires, bam bam bam!

I'm in a slight inane panic now, because the skincare line that I've been using since secondary school days have been... discontinued.

It's a Clarifying line from Artistry, the skincare giant.

I've never even heard of them till Momo came home one day, brandishing the laboratory-bought miracle workers for my pubescent skin. After 5 years of relatively good skin... Artistry has replaced them with some purple floral "Essentials" concoction that is oilier and not as effective.

WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING, ARTISTRY?!?!

I am now stranded on the island of shiny noses, doomed for a life with bad skin.

I wonder if anyone reads this space anymore. It's fine though since I'm quite happy musing with myself sometimes.

Farley and I are now almost at the 2 year mark. It is something really amazing and new to me, since the umpteen flings and 'romances' before him never lasted beyond 3 months. I used to be really cynical, and treated the male species with disregard and contempt (i.e. like shit). Friends who know me since 2 years back are disbelieving at my abrupt embrace of 'Love' that I once called 'a ton of bullshit with mind games thrown in'.

In 22 months, I gained new perspectives of love, life and myself. On a unnaturally sappy note, which is... well, unnatural for me.

For today, I will touch only on love because at the end of the love part I got tired.

What does Love means to you? When I was young, yes, I dreamt of a cupcake gown and a faceless prince that will whisk me off on a flying carpet. 10 years on, the eyes that once lighted up at the mention of happily ever afters have hardened and narrowed after 17 useless relationships that left me reeling. I was wreary, and while I still adore hollywood's version of love, I know it was never as simple as the all-important three words.

I have found the answer. Love is cunning and deceptive. At the first flush of honeymoon, the elation that fills you up is unquestionably one of the best things Mother Nature invented. Rosy cheeks, the rush that makes you high without any dodgy substances, holding hands and announcing to the whole wide world I HAVE FOUND MINE, I WIN, long phone calls, the feeling that nothing can go wrong. But then comes off the masks, out comes the claws and it's mind games round II - love is a game that whoever loves more loses. For power is in the hands of the one that doesn't care.

I still sound cynical, don't I? Ok here comes the sappy part.

Repeat after me: LOVE IS HARD.

There can be no love without pain. Without it, Love simply cannot exist. The fireworks and hot sex does not last forever. What comes after is maintainence. Love is like the blooming of a flower backwards. You first get to relish and enjoy the beauty of it, and then you have to nuture it, prop it up with barbed wires and invest in expensive fertilisers for it.

Not to worry, it's not as bad as it sounds. More than often, the lightbulb moment comes and you get to see, a stalk of florist-cut rose may be easy and pretty to look at, but a orchard of fresh roses that blooms and grows everyday is the one that will make it all worthwhile.

So much shit going on in school... I hate it I hate it. All I want is to be able to eat and sleep without thinking of what deadlines I have today, what tasks I have tomorrow... Seriously feel like quitting school. But when I think of the look on Momo's face, I think another 2 years is still okay.

I know you're supposed to study/work hard for your own sake but if I do that then I'd probably end up a primary school failure. Because if I didn't worry about disappointing them I most likely would not have stopped myself from sleeping through all my exam papers. Suntanning time! At first the sun was non-existent, then it really showed up (I think it was my cursing) and I got a good tan!

Stupidest moment of my life: I tried to adjust the sunchair and the whole thing fell on my thumb. I had internal bleeding and thought that it was gonna explode and I was gonna die.
I mean, it turned into that in 5 seconds flat, you would have thought the same thing too

It's so good and cheap I swear. I can't remember how much it was but I think it was around 60SGD? For a full package with massage, full body scrub, mask, and milk bath. OMG THE MILK BATH I AM CLEOPATRA!!!

Man I hate Speedpost.
Ok so I ordered from Gojane and opted for direct international shipping to get my shoes as soon as possible. And international shipping - most of the time - costs more than Vpost but I was willing to pay more to get my shoes earlier.

Then I realised that USPS service will divert to Speedpost to my house (I thought it would be like Fedex or UPS or something) and I would face the horrors of Singapore post service again.

So like the postman came, but Farley was sleeping and I got the collection notice again.

K fine... so I just have to call and arrange a redelivery or self-collection. However, the default post office for Farley's house is at Jurong West, which is really nowhere near his house and out of the way. So I arranged for collection at IMM.

You know how normally if you collect a registered or international parcel from the post office you don't have to queue but just produce your notice at a corner counter right? I mean, that's what most PO do. But at the IMM branch... I stood at the parcel counter for like, 5 minutes before anyone paid attention to me. And it's obvious that you don't have to queue cos people queue to pay bills, buy stamps that kinda thing.

Then this sarky person came out and when Farley asked about the parcel, she just mumbled something along the line "Go queue."

I was like what the hell? But I went to queue. 10 minutes later while queueing, sarky woman appeared and left for her lunch break. Honestly, she just didn't want to search for my parcel and so passed the responsibility to the other counter staff because when it was my turn (2o minutes later) the parcel counter person SUDDENLY appeared and seem to fully expect me to show the notice - if you can understand what i just wrote.

You know, up till now most PO staff I've encountered are all professional and polite, they know where and how to look for your parcel but this guy? Man... he was from China and didn't understand what I said at all. He just took my notice, went into the inner room for 2 seconds then came out (I could see his reflection from the ajar door and he didn't even look anywhere for my parcel) and said my parcel was still in transit.

Like WTF??? I was in the PO for at least half an hour and then he just searched for 1 minute and tell me that my parcel is not there?

Seriously, I'm NEVER going to transfer my parcel there again. Bitches.

Ok back to looking at websites that I have to rip apart and redesign. What is it about this course that includes redesigning websites?? I mean if I wanted to design websites I'll go to an IT course where the course centers on Adobe and everything right? Half the people in Mass Comm are in there because

1) They want to be an anchorperson/reporter/journalist
2) They want to write for a girly/fashion magazine
3) They think that they're so cool and Mass Comm is a cool course so they have to join.

I mean, location video?? If I want to shoot videos on locations I would join Film, Sound and Video right? But it's like NOOOOOO other courses choose their major in 2nd year we choose ours in the 3rd year, after 2 years dabbling in things we have no interest in. And half of the 3rd year we're doing internship. I know it's MASS communications and everything but everything's so diverse.

Most people's conception of MC is that's what aspiring journalists, reporters and advertising people do but the writing part is like 20%, and the rest are made of modules you're not interested in. I mean, yeah learning how to work the radio station thing is pretty cool, as well as learning dreamweaver and everything but the software gets outdated, and so does your knowledge. By the time you graduate, maybe go to uni (okay, 99.9% of my course will die if they don't go) and graduate with a degree, radio stations as well as website companies don't use the same software anymore. You no longer know how to use the new and updated tools.

And the writing component is NOT adequate at all. It's like common conception that if you go MC you most probably want to be a writer or journalist/reporter. So why is it that most of the things we learn have nothing to do with writing at all? Video shooting comes in 2 core modules, as well as radio production. Which means, after you finish one semester of dipping your finger in a pot that you're not interested in and sigh in relief/pure joy, you go into the next year to find out, Welcome To Radio/Video Production TWO!!!!! Hooray!!!!!

Am tired after my brief rant. If NP staff/board/teachers or someone related reads this I'm temporarily deranged and you shouldn't take this seriously.

Bandung Part 1

Yeah that's right we went to Bandung! Farley has been raving about it for a long time (he went there 4, 5 years ago) and on his persuasion, our trip diverted from Taiwan to Bangkok then to Bandung!

Day 1

Us at Claud's place before leaving for the airport

I wanted to bring my Miu Miu wristlet for shopping but the girls said I would get mugged/forget/lose it so I borrowed a sling bag from Kelyn which turned out to be amazingly practical. The Agnes B keepall however, was simply NOT ENOUGH to hold what I bought back.

K's Victoria's Secret holdall. It's pretty but it has a impractical fixed shape. Which means you can't do the sit-on-luggage-and-zip thing.

Room service! Extorbitant as expected at 10 SGD a plate (plus we had room service like twice. Or thrice.) when standard of living in Indonesia is way low.

Day 2

I look so awful here. Direct sunlight = unflattering.

This is embarrassing but I figured it'll be a laugh. The girls laughed at it because my roots made the bun look badgerish.

Breakfast

I actually ate Koko Crunch and Mee Soto everyday. Yummy. And the fresh milk in Indo are all full-fat and it's super good. And sinful.

How most of the houses in Bandung look - even though we saw gigantuan castles and lofts... I WANT I WANT

But what's really terrible is that you see young kids playing on the road (like, on the road itself and Bandung's traffic is dire), stuffing each other into giant plastic bags, motorists carrying three pillion passengers on a normal-sized bike, teenagers walking up to cars playing guitars, beggars knocking on windows to ask for money... It's so sad. And you can't even help any of them because they snatch your money and stuff when you open your window.

First day shopping crammed our rented car's boot to the brim.

Got loads of pictures to edit/resize... Plus school is sucking me dry. It's so stupid the timetable is wack and the only good thing is that I can eat Subway everyday. Subway Meltzzzz I melt for you.

Yesterday picked up Mia and headed to Haji Lane and we ate wedges at Mosi Cafe where there was no nacho cheese but only mayonnaise. Had dinner at Soup Resturant with Nat, Althea and Freda. Oh before that I got a present from Farley. Pictures later. Then us geeks played some L4D at Cyrus or something while they went F21 shopping + movie.

Took us 2 hours to finish the last map on Normal. Heh heh. So scary I kept dying cos nobody saved me. Althea and Freda picked us up from Great World and we went to Zouk together. Butter's third anniversary was too crowded and we felt like a cosy friends only with lots of space time so we went to Zouk. F opened a bottle and we got pretty high it was fun. Except I keep peeing. Well done Bladder. Insane number of overaged twits. Left around 3 plus I GOT MY HOTDOG!!!! I LOVE ZOUK'S HOTDOG IT'S LIKE CHIPPY'S.

Oh and my stupid flower headband nearly killed me. It gave me a migraine plus nausea so I didn't eat much at Soup. I'm starting to hate headbands I bought the Nicole Richie feather headband AND I LOST IT IMMEDIATELY. Wow. Good job Mavis.

OMG.

Last night F and I had some MJ and L4D with Mia and Nat till 4am. On the way home I kept thinking of zombies and how good it felt to shoot 'em down. Then I dreamt.

I was in some room, with a cabinet full of Lynn's things. Faceless people kept putting glasses of Coke down and ants kept coming swarming all over my hands when I tried to move the glasses and Lynn kept scolding me cos the ants got into her precious stuff.

I woke up and then my dream was real.

You know how it feels when ants scurry all over your hands? Tiny, teeny footprints that feels like a gentle tickling... well, until they decide to bite you. It was there for the the whole period of my dream, and when i opened my bleary eyes it wasn't over. Puzzled, I sat up and looked at my arm woozily.

There was a big black spot moving around my arm.

And I thought to myself, "Wait a minute, that wasn't there before"

Panicking, I swept the big black spot off my arm. It fell into the waves of bedcovers. I started screaming and jumping off the bed and grabbing my glasses and pulling F off the bed.

IT WAS THE SIZE OF A TWENTY CENT COIN.

F passed me tissues, I caught the bugger with gusto and promptly told F to FLUSH THAT BASTARD INTO THE TOILET BOWL NOW!!!!!!

Stupid muthafucker touching me for like 3 hours and expecting to get away with it? FUCK YOU TOILET BOWL BUGGER.

K I'm done going shopping and Butter later amigos.

They're just out and I love love love em!!! So cutesy and every key thing part that enters the door has a T!!! Then F and I took a look at engagement rings... just saying that runs a shiver down my spine. A 5-carat solitaire cost 300k plus. Work hard honey.

I hate the way things get derelict right before school starts. Or maybe it is the fact that tough days are abound us again that accentuates the gloom. Naiveness always lead to false hopes. I held on, I prayed for a miracle, it happened once. The second time, I clasped my hands and prayed as hard as I could, squeezing my eyes close till stars and squiggly little sparks bobbed in the darkness. Like an ignorant child, I made promises in exchange. I sworn on being a good girl, the very best I can be. I would listen to advice, eat my vegetables, sleep early, open my textbooks.

Bit by bit, timid eyelids fluttered open. Knuckles were pale. It was a struggle to untangle the knot of fingers. A flare of heat stung my nose, then a tiny wetness on my cheek. It was hard to take in, but no confusion could be unearthed in the sea of black and white.

Is that why it's called a miracle?

After saying that I will do a shoe post for forever I finally found some time to do it today. Pictures of my favourite shoes, because if I do every single pair I'll never finish. It's uncanny that all my favourites are heeled or platform ones. To prove my point, without realising it I took shots of the backs of shoes... I need help. Ha ha.

Only after buying this pair of Louboutins that I read somewhere V.Beckham buys one size bigger cause all Louboutins have small toe boxes and that I should have done so too. I got a size 36 and the toe box is like... friggin small. Looks awesome though.

Basic Miu Miu black pumps... I bought them cause I realised I didn't have basic black heels.

Violet suede boots from Pedder Red. Am never buying anything from Singapore's Pedder Red anymore saw the same shoes for 3/4 the price in HK Pedder REd.

Best buy from H&M. I wear these everywhere, they go with everything.

I bought these only because... of the toe box aha. I love hidden platforms in toe boxes.

I HATE THAKSIN BKK trip was cancelled cos of the stupid riots and family politics. Am going somewhere else instead. Flying off on Friday, tres excited!!!! Missing first day of school, bwa ha ha ha.

And to add insult to injury, I come home to a blog entry that was unpleasant to say the least.

If you want to hear my reply, this is it. I never made myself out as a victim. The few times I blogged, I was crying, and really struggling with myself. Many times all I could think about was, what's wrong with me? why can't I do anything right?

After a couple of times, I stopped. Whatever I do, it's never right. Whatever I say, everyone think it's a joke. Because I'm like, oh like, I don't know, a bimbo? Tell me, after a couple of times in a group discussion being ignored or getting EVERY SINGLE ONE of your little suggestions slammed, would you jump for joy at the mention of another one?

Ok anyway I'm still awake at 9am. I'm not a early bird, I just haven't slept. It's like nowadays I can't sleep till round 7 plus 8 and wake up around 5pm. Bah wonder how shitty I would feel when school starts. 9am and 8am classes... Jesus. Back to the point. What happened was I ate some awesome spring rollz thingz just now and now I can't sleep.

Will post up pictures (I know, lots of overdued ones) of my new stuff soon, not terribly good ones but PINK ones. Ok shit I just said it out. Hmm hmm. It just makes me really happy when I find stuff in shades of pink unexpectedly. Like 'Oh look they come in pink too!!" kinda thing.

I'm also waiting for my hard disks to you know, transfer stuff to each other which is like taking AN HOUR. And they're both blinking at me. I mean their sensor lights. Ok it's getting up my ass.

School starts in 3 weeks, funny thing was I'll be going to BKK again the weekend before school starts and I'll be back on Monday night. First day of school and I won't be there.... not a good start.

For a few months now, I've been lapsing into periods of uncertainty, fear and helplessness. It seems that that I can do so much yet don't know how to bring about doing them. I see myself slipping through the cracks, but my fingers don't twitch, my mouth doesn't speak; I don't do anything to stop it.

Because in Singapore, Fall, Spring.. no matter. It feels the same and since Spring (which is now) is about sheer, subtle, pastels and more sheer, I would rather look at Fall 09's clothes. So dramatic omnomnomnom. I love top hats and quirky structures, lots and lots of structure, and of course puffy tulle, plus an obscene amount of short and tight by Balmain king of bandage dresses. It's kinda circusey, like BRITNEY SPEARS' COMEBACK WORLD TOUR WOOHOO!!

And because I don't like pastels (the one color I like for Spring is nude, which is not an easy color to wear in Singapore) I'm looking forward to Fall. Black black black. Mmm. On a random note, if I ever get married, I want to get married in tulle. Vera Wang mama mia.

And speaking of annoying stuff, I sold this last year for 60 bucks because it was bulky and I didn't carry it out much and hence use it infrequently. Now it's selling at some blogshop for 140.
